Privacy Policy for Flux
Last Updated: 16.12.2025
We built Flux to help you cross-post to social media, not to hoard your data. We believe in privacy by default. Here is exactly how we handle your information.
1. No Server Storage
We do not store your personal data, account credentials, or post history on our servers.
- Your Data: All your posts and settings are stored locally on your device and synced via your personal iCloud account.
- Your Accounts: When you connect Bluesky, Threads, or X, the authentication tokens are stored securely on your device (in the Keychain). We never see your passwords.
2. Temporary Processing
To make certain features work, we need to briefly process specific data on our servers. This data is never stored.
- Image & Video Uploads (Threads): The Threads API requires a public URL to accept media files. When you post media to Threads, the app uploads the file to our secure server. Threads then downloads it from us.
- Note: As soon as the transfer is complete, our server immediately deletes the file.
- Link Previews: When you add a link to a post, we send the URL to our server to fetch the website’s title and preview image (metadata).
- Note: The server fetches the data to display it to you and does not store the link or the metadata.
3. Security
All communications between the Flux app, our temporary processing server, and the social platforms happen over secure HTTPS connections.
4. Third-Party Services
Flux interacts with third-party platforms (Bluesky, Threads, X). Please remember that when you post to these services, your interactions are governed by their respective privacy policies.
5. Contact Us
